Age: Roughly around 400 years old or so, but looks only 13 years old
Gender: Female
Occupation: Hell Reaper
Race: Half Shinigami (part human part shinigami, look at the reaper race for a description)
Appearance:
- Hair Color:Black
- Eye Color:Red
- Height:4'10
- Build:Pretty thin and frail looking
- Significant Features:Ayako is unnaturally pale giving her a ghost like appearance. Its clear to most that there is something strange about her just from her appearance.
- Clothing Style:When attempting to disguise herself as a human Ayako normally dresses in a middle school girl outfit. When she goes to her shingami form, or is at the very least doing her job, she wears a kimono.
Personality: Ayako comes off as a cold, almost emotionless person most of the time. She rarely speaks unless she has to or something compels her two. When around others she wears a dispassionate mask, with an expression so blank that no one knows what she is thinking. What most don't know is underneath that mask lies a troubled girl who is desperately trying to hide her true feelings so she can live with the job she is dealt with.
Main Talent: Very good at hiding her emotions under pressure.
Biggest Flaw: Never opens up to those around her.
Abilities:
- Can sense when someone is on the verge of death
- Can sense and even see the spirits of the dead
- Soul reaping (can capture the souls of the dead and move them to the afterlife i.e. heaven or hell)
- Shadow manipulation (can control shadows or even become shadow for a brief period of time)
- Can control fire. In fact her fire magic is a lot more useful to her and less draining than her shadow abilities.
- Difficult to kill
- Can heal faster than a human
Weaknesses:
- Ayako's shadow manipulation is pretty weak. it takes her awhile to become fully intangible (anywhere between 5 to 10 mins). To do so faster than that causes a huge drain. In battle she is only capable of becoming intangible to avoid being hit by an attack once. Just doing that causes her to become extremely weak and vulnerable.
- While most reapers aren't normally weak against their opposing elemental magic Ayako is. Water makes her fire magic weak or at worse unusable.
- Angelic, light magic, or any form of holy magic can weaken or even kill her.
- Ayako's biggest flaw is that unlike other shinigamis/reapers she can be killed. She can take a lot of damage and is harder to kill than a human, but like any other human she can suffer a true death.
- While Ayako can heal faster than a human it still takes time to recover from serious injuries. Doing any extreme forms of healing (i.e. regrowing limbs) is not just time consuming, its draining, and incredibly painful.
- Ever since Ayako's powers awakened mortals have a natural aversion to her. By instincts mortals tend to avoid her and at worse become hostile towards her.
- Through the use of a ritual summons Ayako can be summoned and bound to a contract to reap the soul of a living person and take that soul to hell, regardless of her feelings about the matter and who she is sending to hell. She can only decline the contract if the target in question has already passed on, or there is no genuine feeling of hatred from the person that summons her. Once bound to the contract she must complete her assignment or face judgment from her clan.
More Than Three Important Things About Your Character and/or Its Past:
- Ayako was born about 400 years ago in japan in a small village. She was raised in her early years by her mother alone. Neither her mother nor she had any idea that her biological father was a shinigami, and didn't know that she might have been born with her father's powers.
- Ayako's childhood was fairly normal at first, she was a normal, happy, and healthy child till her powers awakened. Her eye colour changed, she didn't seem to age, and the villagers started avoiding her.
- A few years later a stranger arrived to the village, he claimed to be her uncle and revealed what she was by making her kill her own human mother.
- Ayako's uncle took her away from her old home and took her in to his clan, and made her join them.
- Ayako's clan is the only clan that devotes themselves to serving hell. Their task is to reap the souls of the dead to take those deserving to hell. The catch is how those souls are judged. The clan doesn't just aim to take the souls of the dead, but the living as well. Humans can call upon those reapers to kill someone that they have a grudge against and send them to hell at the cost of losing their own soul when they eventually die.
- Ayako has never liked the job she had been given since forcefully taken by her uncle but she has no power to refuse. Over time she began to hide her feelings behind an uncaring mask in the hopes that one day she could really kill her heart. That sadly never worked.
- At the present time Ayako moved to New Orlands on her uncle's orders to fulfill new contracts in america to spread her clan's influence.
- The issue of her biological father still remains a mystery today. Since learning about what she really was Ayako has never met her father and doesn't even know if he still exists.
